It has been a while since our last general update with company news, but it does not mean that we have been sitting idle. With this newsletter we would like to fill you in on what has been happening at TWINO and what you can expect in the upcoming weeks and months.
New product offering. We are just a couple of days away from launching investments in asset-backed securities based on business loans issued to a consumer lending company in Vietnam. The product will have a term of 3-12 months and an interest rate of 12% per annum. Stay tuned as we will inform you once the product has been launched!
User Interface and functionality updates. We have been working on various improvements to the usability of our platform – the implementation of filters and sorting options on the loan securities pages (both Manual investment and Individual investments), the possibility to download an overview of your investments in securities, as well as adding withholding tax to the Dashboard and the Income statement. Keep your eye out for these updates as they are coming soon.
Changes in the company’s management and board.
TWINO has appointed Helvijs Henšelis as its new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board, succeeding Karīna Caunīte-Orupe who has decided to pursue other interests outside TWINO.
Karīna has been with TWINO since the founding of the company in 2015 holding various leadership roles, most recently – as CEO and Chairwoman of the Management Board.
The role of Helvijs is approved by the Financial and Capital Market Commission and for the past few weeks, both he and Karīna have been working closely for Helvijs to officially take over the position by November 25.
“I would like to thank Karīna for her excellent work and wish her well in future endeavors. I also wish Helvijs all the best in his new role and am convinced that given his extensive background in the financial sector and historical cooperation with TWINO in different roles, including as an advisor during the time when TWINO obtained its investment firm license, he is in a great position to oversee the continued momentum of TWINO”, says TWINO founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board Armands Broks.
Helvijs Henšelis has 10 years of experience in the financial sector, consulting on business, financial and strategic matters, including a long tenure as a leading expert in some of the largest consulting companies in Latvia – Deloitte and PwC, as well as TWINO, where he has gained a deep understanding of the business model, governance, peer-to-peer lending, and investment fields. Helvijs has in-depth knowledge and experience in strategic and financial planning, tax matters, and operational efficiency management. Helvijs holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
